Why a Private Forum SUPER Sites Tour with a Scandinavian Guide?
This curated walking tour is designed for those who want to understand the real history of the Roman Empire without the chaotic crowds.
We begin with a relaxed, insightful introduction outside the magnificent Colosseum. You will learn about its incredible engineering and social history from the best exterior viewpoints.
After admiring the architectural majesty of the Colosseum from the outside and uncovering its dark history, we skip the general admission lines to enter the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.
While most tourists only see the ruins from a distance, the special SUPER Site access grants us access to restricted, highly protected archaeological gems that standard tours cannot enter.
Walk through 2,000-year-old imperial villas, admire vibrant ancient art, and enjoy panoramic, peaceful views over Rome. It’s the perfect blend of iconic highlights and exclusive, crowd-free history. This premium pass grants us access to restricted, highly protected archaeological gems that standard tours cannot enter. Explore the remarkably preserved frescoes of the House of Augustus and walk the imperial corridors of the newly opened Domus Tiberiana.

Frequently Asked Questions About Your Colosseum Tour (FAQ)
What exactly are the "SUPER Sites"?
SUPER Sites are highly protected, restricted areas within the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (such as the House of Augustus or Domus Tiberiana). Because they house delicate 2,000-year-old frescoes and imperial architecture, entry is strictly regulated and closed to standard ticket holders. Your ticket includes special access to these hidden gems.
Does this tour include entry inside the Colosseum?
Is the Colosseum and Ancient Rome tour stroller-friendly?
The Roman Forum and Palatine Hill consist of unpaved paths, steep inclines, and original ancient Roman cobblestones that can be highly challenging to navigate with a stroller. For a smooth and comfortable experience, we strongly recommend using a baby carrier for younger children if possible.
How long does the private tour of SUPER Sites last?
What language is the tour conducted in? Do you have Scandinavian guides?
Is this private guided tour suitable for families with children?
What should we bring with us on the tour?
We highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes, as we will be exploring expansive archaeological areas with uneven surfaces, ancient cobblestones, and dirt paths. It is also wise to bring a reusable water bottle, which can be refilled for free at Rome’s historic public drinking fountains (nasoni). You can even find the nearest water fountain on Acea website or download the official app. During the sunny summer months, don’t forget to pack sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, as shade is limited within the ruins.
What happens if it rains on the day of the tour?
Our private guided tours take place as scheduled, rain or shine. Since the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill are primarily open-air archaeological sites, we highly recommend checking the weather forecast for Rome before your tour and bringing an umbrella or a rain poncho if precipitation is expected.
In the rare event of extreme weather conditions where the Colosseum administration or safety personnel officially close the monuments, we will immediately contact you to reschedule the tour or find the best possible alternative solution.
